Rhode Island College School of Nursing

The program is a collaboration between Rhode Island College Zvart Onanian School of Nursing and St. Joseph Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia (SJHSNA) with major contributions from RICSON and the faculty of Arts and Sciences at RIC and the academic and clinical preceptors of SJHSNA. Our DNP program is a front-loaded program where students will spend the first year in the Nursing Education Center followed by both clinical and didactic curriculum for the subsequent two years, completing a total of 36 months.

Rhode Island College is located on a 180-acre campus in the Mount Pleasant section of Providence. This location combines easy access to the benefits and resources of the metropolitan area with a suburban atmosphere. The Nursing Education Center is located in the Providence metro area at 350 Eddy Street.

The Charter CARE Health Partner includes Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, RI and remains the primary clinical site for our students. This facility administers anesthesia across the lifespan for various surgical specialties, excluding open heart, organ transplantation and obstetrics. St. Joseph Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia students will receive specialty clinical rotations at the following facilities listed below.
